Stellenbeschreibung: Intro We are an early-stage startup from Berlin on a mission to accelerate the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects. We build a web platform to support project developers with data insights and integrations to build more projects, faster. We’re looking for a seasoned software engineer to join our team and help us build this exciting product! This job is a perfect match for you if you're a generalist with a passion for front-end. Tasks You will be working directly with the CTO on delivering key functionalities in our SaaS platform. You will play a crucial role in expanding our MVP into an intuitive, reliable, and performant web app. You will thrive in this role if you have a pragmatic approach to problem solving, can adapt to changing priorities and like to take ownership on the projects you work on: from ideation to measuring its impact. Some of the things you will be working on: Implementing new functionalities in the web app based on specified requirements - we are working closely with our clients and rigorously adapt our product based on their feedback. We expect that you're comfortable to implement any functionality independently, incl. both back-end and front-end. Extending the current architecture to implement new functionalities and data flows. We process high volumes of geospatial data which brings interesting technical challenges. There are many opportunities for designing a new functionality from ground up, where you can influence the implementation and tech stack. Demonstrating your work in progress to the whole team. We take time each week to collect feedback on functionalities that are still in development - and to make sure everyone in the team is an expert of the software. Creating mock-ups and implementing intuitive user interface elements. Testing your code and the application. Writing technical documentation in English. Measuring the usage of new functionalities. Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, German nice to have. 5+ years of demonstrated experience in building and maintaining software, ideally web applications in a SaaS model. Proficiency in designing and implementing data-processing back-end logic (we use Python + Django) Proficiency in using front-end technologies, writing elegant JavaScript/TypeScript. Hands-on experience with at least one major web framework like React or Vue (we currently use Alpine.js) Experience with front-end mapping libraries (we use Mapbox GL) or geospatial data. Passion for high quality, elegant software architecture as well as reliable and maintainable software. Proactive personality, willing to take ownership of their tasks.
