Stellenbeschreibung: Intro Hey there, we are SafeNow! A startup on the mission to bring safety into the pockets of every person on the planet, for free. To do this, we are developing an app that gives you instant access to locally relevant helpers, whether that is your friends, family, or professional helpers. We are a small team with a big heart based in Munich, consisting of 18 members with 7 different nationalities. We want to change the world for the better and are looking for a Backend Developer (f/m/d). In this role you will help us in pushing our SafeNow apps even further. Tasks Develop our backend further together with the development team to meet the requirements of our international growth in the future To do this, you will continue working on our services implemented in Kotlin and also contribute conceptually to new services or rewrites You'll prioritise stability, maintainability, and test automation, fostering a collaborative, open culture for quality-driven software development Requirements Several years of experience in developing backend systems in Java, ideally with Kotlin Experience with database systems Experience with event architectures; familiarity with Hasura and Kafka (or RedPanda) is advantageous Preferably located in or around Munich and able to come to the office weekly (fully remote possible but not preferred) Fluent in English, as our team is diverse, and good communication is essential for integration Benefits You are shaping the future of personal security together with a great, ambitious team of young and experienced colleagues Intensive onboarding on-site in Munich to get to know the team and the work You will receive shares in a rapidly growing startup (ESOP) and benefit financially from the company's success Competitive salary from the start and potential for more responsibility and corresponding compensation Steep learning curve with a lot of autonomy and responsibility, but also room for creativity and trust Flexible working hours and vacation planning in a hybrid company.
