We are seeking an experienced SAP SD/MM Inhouse Project Lead to join our client’s team. This role offers an incredible opportunity to lead and drive SAP projects across sales and materials management for a world-class manufacturer, contributing to process optimization and digital transformation. Position Overview: As an SAP SD/MM Inhouse Project Lead, you will be responsible for managing the implementation, optimization, and support of SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) and MM (Materials Management) modules. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to design and deploy SAP solutions that align with global business goals, enhance productivity, and support operational excellence across the supply chain. Tasks Project Management: Lead SAP SD/MM projects from inception to completion, including system enhancements, upgrades, and new implementations, ensuring successful and timely delivery. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with global business stakeholders to understand and define requirements for sales, distribution, and materials management, translating them into tailored SAP solutions. Solution Design and Customization: Design and configure SAP SD/MM solutions to optimize order-to-cash, procurement, and inventory processes, ensuring alignment with manufacturing and supply chain objectives. Configuration and Integration: Configure SAP SD and MM functionalities, including sales order management, pricing, billing, procurement, and inventory logistics, and ensure smooth integration with other SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, PP). Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement within the SAP SD/MM environment, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency across global operations. System Integration: Coordinate with IT and external partners to ensure effective integration of SAP SD/MM solutions with other SAP and non-SAP systems. Training and Documentation: Develop and provide user training sessions, and create detailed documentation to support SAP SD/MM functionality, promoting effective usage across the organization. Risk Management: Monitor project progress, proactively manage risks, and address any issues to ensure project objectives are met within scope, time, and budget. Best Practices and Innovation: Stay current with SAP best practices, emerging trends, and innovations in the manufacturing industry, applying them to enhance SAP SD/MM capabilities. Profile Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional Experience: Proven experience as an SAP SD/MM Consultant or Project Lead, ideally in a global manufacturing or industrial environment, with expertise in SAP SD and MM modules. Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of SAP SD (Sales Order Management, Pricing, Billing) and MM (Procurement, Inventory Management), including configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules. Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of sales and distribution, procurement, and materials management processes in a manufacturing context. Project Management Skills: Solid experience in managing SAP projects, including risk assessment, scheduling, budget control, and cross-functional team coordination. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical abilities, with the capability to translate business requirements into robust SAP solutions and troubleshoot complex issues. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business users, and senior stakeholders. Language Proficiency: Minimum German language skills at level B1 and fluent English. Residency Requirement: Apply only if currently living and working in Germany.
