We are seeking a talented SAP Basis Lead Administrator/Consultant to join our client’s growing IT team. This role provides an exceptional opportunity to lead the SAP Basis landscape, ensuring seamless system performance and supporting the critical operations of a company dedicated to improving global health. Position Overview: As the SAP Basis Lead Administrator/Consultant, you will oversee the administration, optimization, and strategic direction of the SAP Basis environment. You will collaborate closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure high system availability, security, and performance, supporting key business operations and compliance in the pharmaceutical industry. Tasks System Administration: Manage and maintain SAP Basis systems, ensuring stability, performance, and security across development, quality, and production environments. Upgrades and Patching: Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, patches, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to optimize SAP system operations, addressing potential bottlenecks proactively. User Management: Manage user roles and authorizations, ensuring secure and compliant access to SAP systems. Integration and Coordination: Collaborate with functional teams and external vendors to integrate SAP Basis with other modules and third-party tools. Incident Management: Troubleshoot and resolve SAP Basis-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business processes. Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain technical documentation, and provide training for IT team members to ensure a resilient SAP environment. Strategy and Innovation: Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies, cloud options (SAP HANA, S/4HANA, etc.), and industry trends to drive innovation in the SAP landscape. Profile Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Professional Experience: Proven experience as an SAP Basis Administrator or Consultant, with leadership responsibilities preferred, ideally within the pharmaceutical or regulated industry. Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in SAP Basis, including system administration, performance tuning, and security, with experience in HANA, S/4HANA, or SAP cloud solutions. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., GxP, FDA, or EU regulations). Integration Skills: Experience with SAP integration and third-party tools, including middleware and APIs. Problem-Solving Abilities: Analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Language Proficiency: Minimum German language skills at level B2 and fluent English. Residency Requirement: Apply only if currently living and working in Germany.
