Stellenbeschreibung: Intro This role is remote. Chairish Inc. through its German entity Pamono GmbH is looking for a software engineer to work on the team developing our core commerce platform. As a member of the core platform engineering team, you will participate in all stages of the product development lifecycle from business analysis, requirements development, and, of course, product development. As a key driver of the product process, this role presents the opportunity to have a direct and meaningful impact on the business while working to advance the innovation that drives the home decor industry online at an ever-fast pace. Tasks Your responsibilities: Feature design and implementation in our core commerce platform Develop and review technical designs and document them Participate in code reviews Automated unit test creation and manual testing of your code Work closely with product management, logistics, and production staff to manage product scope and requirements Continue to be responsible for your code once it's in production Requirements Your responsabilities: At least 3 years of prior software development experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience) Excellent verbal and written communication Natural problem-solver and troubleshooter One or more server-side scripting languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, PHP, Javascript). We work primarily in Python but it's easy enough to learn if you've got related experience Comfortable working in a GNU Linux/Unix environment Familiarity with one or more relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, etc...) and solid knowledge of SQL Client-side application development in HTML, CSS, and Javascript Desirable but not mandatory Proficiency in any additional European languages Preference is given to candidates with experience supporting an e-commerce marketplace Knowledge of home design Benefits Benefits: Dedicated international team with a flat organizational structure The choice between a mobility and an Urban Sports Club subsidy Your wellbeing matters to us: we offer mindfulness classes to take care of your mental health through sessions with OpenUp Company Pension Scheme If you apply from Berlin: Flexible working setup to get the most out of your working hours: we offer full flexibility in our Hybrid/Remote model, however, we do encourage you to take advantage of our Berlin office in Charlottenburg 2-3 days per week Work from abroad for up to 30 working days a year Dog-friendly office: we can’t wait to meet your furry friend!
