Your Tasks: Team Leadership : Manage and Mentor 3 SCRUM Teams, ensuring collaboration and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions. Your role will balance delivery speed with the high standards our customers and Finmatics expect. Architectural Leadership : Guide the growth of our SaaS platform architecture to ensure scalability, alignment and performance. You will play a hands-on role in solving architectural challenges, particularly in cloud-native and machine learning based systems. Build up new SCRUM Teams : Identify top-talent and integrate as well as shape Teams. Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with Management Directors, Product, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing to align Engineering priorities with business goals. Operational Involvement : You will be actively involved in day-to-day engineering operations, including making key technical decisions and leading Teams in troubleshooting and problem-solving. KPIs & Accountability : Responsibility for overall performance of the engineering department, measuring success through KPIs such as deadlines and delivery targets from our OKR system. We are looking for someone who has: 10+ years of experience in Engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in leading Teams in a SaaS environment, preferably B2B Experience with scaling engineering Teams in high-growth environments Hands-on experience with modern web technologies like Python, Django and cloud-based architectures Deep knowledge of cloud platforms and scalable SaaS systems to contribute directly to technical decision-making and problem-solving Experience with machine learning architectures and integration into SaaS products is a plus Excellent communication skills to align engineering efforts with business needs Ability to balance short-term business delivery with long-term technical investments Fluent in English; German B2+ is a bonus What we offer: Key leadership position in a dynamic, fast-growing company Versatile field of activity with personal and professional development opportunities Active involvement and exciting insights into a deep tech scale-up company Independent work and free time management with flexible working hours Possibility to work from home by arrangement Pleasant working atmosphere in the middle of Vienna Open and honest corporate culture with short decision-making paths Young, dynamic team and flat hierarchies.
